Celebrating One Year in Service
CalBizBlog - 1st Anniversary
It has been just over one year since the California Business Minute launched
the CalBizBlog. It has within a relative short period of time outperformed
expectations.
It appears that the business, community, economic development, workforce
and redevelopment professionals from across the state find the insight, perspective
and commentary to their liking as many write or call informing their approval of the
many articles. And there are others even from outside of California that have appreciated
the value of the insight specifically an individual involved in the surfing industry from
Australia who apparently enjoyed the analysis - Big Surf: Economic Impacts from
California's Surfing Industry, found it very useful.
It is the intent to see between 2500-3000 hits a month at the CalBizBlog during 2009.
combined with the California Business Minute, that will place users around 3700-4200
a month. Surprisingly, that places us in the top 22% of internet sites for traffic. And
as people come to know and respect the credible work of the CalBizBlog as a source
for the industry - the future looks bright.
It is the primary intent to provide the very best information to help the industry/profession
and the subsequent promotion of the state. To do that we have added a variety of features
at both the CBM & CalBizBlog. For example, we have added the California Chief Executive
Officer's Corner, aka CAEO Corner. A monthly feature that interviews CEO's, business owners,
C-Level managers and political leaders from across the state to get their take on the
business environment and economy of California. In addition, we have also add Practitioner's
Perspective, a bi-monthly feature that interviews the professionals whose jobs involve supporting
the health and well being of California's economy.
We appreciate your comments and ideas. And we look forward to finding new opportunities
to work with you in the future. So whether at the California Business Minute or CalBizBlog
or both, thanks for reading!
