The surfer's tamed the waves, the spectators were wiped out, and so ends the
Maverick's 'Big Wave' competition for 2010.

South African, Chris Bertish won this year's competition taking home a paltry $50,000
for surfing the four story waves.  But it was the spectators that unfortunately suffered
from this year's big wave competition as one rogue wave hit the break water and tore
through the hordes of spectators, judges table, vendors and the public address system.
